I made the last minute decision this weekend to head out to
Brimfield , later this week.....I have been wanting to go for years, and can never seem to pull it off. I'm going to throw my assistant(she's 4) in the car on Thursday and hit the road for the quick and scenic 6 hour drive. I also love
antiquing in the Berkshires, so we will head down early and leave plenty of time for shopping. Once there, Brimfield is a quaint and picturesque New England town founded in 1731. If nothing else, it will be beautiful! My girlfriend who lives in NYC is also going to meet me there with her 3 year old, for a couple of days of treasure hunting.
Apparently this is the
largest outdoor antiques show in the US with over 10,000 vendors attending the 3 annual shows. People come from all over the world! My plan is, that I don't have one. I have already scoped out some of the
vintage jewelry and
clothing dealers, as well as
Swedish antiques and other furniture that I am interested in, but other than that, I am just gonna chill and see what amazing finds present themselves!
